The red and blue spectrums within the LEDs, are designed to grow macroalgae in saltwater enviroments at a fast rate. Growing algae in a refugium setting can help manage and combat reef tank nutrient issues, like phosphates and nitrates.
One of the biggest keys to a successful refugium is having the proper light. Zetlight's E200 & E200S LEDs are designed for refugiums, providing sufficient light energy in the wavelength range 450-480nm to 580-650nm. The bracket is wrapped in rubber to avoid corrosion and oxidation by keeping it away from saltwater. The bracket is adjustable in different mounting angles and heights to get sufficient light for your algae.
